Marriage look up please

Please could look up the details of a marriage for me at St Martins. I think I have located the marriage of my 3x gr grandfather but I can't be certain. I know his wife was called Mary but I don't the surname. There is a marriage of a William MOBLEY to a Mary EVANS on 6th Nov 1809. Their first child was called Charles Evans MOBLEY so this looks a reasonable link.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Mike D

Hi Shera

Thanks very much for your help and the prompt reply. I will look at the witness names and try to track them down.

Family history can be a very frustrating subject at times !

Thanks again for your help.

Kind regards

Mike D

the child you mentioned doesnt seem to be listed at st. martins but there is a child christened on 6.1.1814 named sarah daughter of william and mary mobley. abode yardley fathers occ. labourer

Hi Shera, thanks for looking for the christening. I picked up a christening for Charles from the IGI. It said 4 Nov 1810 at Aston Juxta. Do you know where this church is (or was)? It wasn't until the 1851 census that I found he had the middle name 'Evans'.

Cheers

Mike D

the church aston juxta is aston parish church (st peter and st paul) which is still there by aston hall in birmingham.
