Marriage Look Up October 13th, 1839

Just found this website and must say it is really brilliant of everyone to help out where they can and offer assistance...especially for those of us abroad. In Canada myself...

Was wondering if someone could give me the details, if they have access to the registers, for a marriage that took place between William Nickless (I think spelt Nickliss) and Fanny Parry on October 13th, 1839 at Saint Martin's...

Thanks so much.

Cheers, Cary

hello and welcome cary, its very nice to be able to help someone in canada

the marriage is the correct date at st. martins. here are the details (its definitely written as nickliss, with the dotted I)

william nickliss . of full age. bachelor. soap maker. residence at time of marr. stoke . father - john nickliss . farmer
fanny parry . of full age. spinster . servant . stoke. father - joseph parry. labourer

witnesses were george warden and sarah newey

Thanks ever so much...that was incredibly kind of you...been trying to get the details of this marriage for many years.

Unfortunately our family name Nickless gets all sorts of spellings in the registers, so though marked with an i it is most definitely our family...

Thanks again...

Hi Shera

Thanks for that lookup for Cary. I have just had two Canadian death certificate lookups for my family by a kind person in Canada.
