Maps of Birmingham 1966-77 with house numbers

Before the Old-Maps website was lost to us I copied areas of mainly Lozells, Aston and Nechells.

I am not sure if there is any copyright involved with these, perhaps somebody could advise me on this.

I copied these because I needed information about the blocks of flats which had been built and kept appearing on old photographs of these areas alongside original Victorian housing and I needed to determine the location.

Assuming there is no copyright infringement, I can post these to BHF if anyone has a particular street/area interest.

  • Crown copyright
OS maps created before April 1, 2015 are protected by Crown copyright for 50 years from the year of publication. This means that maps created before this date can be copied without a license from the OS.

I think all the maps on the old maps website were out of copyright. Certainly all the ones available on the NLS website are out of copyright, and it is planned to release later ones as they become free of restrictions
