Mapplebecks buildings

The newspaper archives mention Mapplebecks Bui;dings several times as either Moilliett Street or Dugdale Street. These are parallel streets off Dudley Road, so maybe the buildings cross between them. See 1950s map below. There is another Moilliet Street in Smethwick, but this is only mentioned once. However cannot find an Alice or John Daniels on the electoral roll for 1920 or 1922

On 1901 census they are listed after 80 Dugdale Street.
On 1901 eroll they appear to be called Wilkes Buildings and also listed on Moilliett street. I can find no reference to Mapplebeck Buildings

Very strange this one, on the 1891 census there is no listing after No. 80 on Dugdale Street, on the 1901 census Mapplebeck Buildings are listed after No. 80. Also on the 1901 census both Wilkes Buildings and Mapplebeck Buildings are listed in Moilliett Street.

I can only find Wilkes Buildings on the rates books for 1901 as well.
Wilkes were a firm based at 7 and 8 Abberley Street as far as I can tell.

As far as I can discover Edward Mapplebeck became a partner in John Wilkes firm around 1870 (and managing director). The firm then became Wilkes, Mapplebeck and Co.
I assume the original buildings belonged to Wilkes. Perhaps more were added later and referred to as Mapplebecks?
