I am having difficulty finding any information about my maternal great grandmother Clara Rose Mann. She would have been born in the 1860's and married Thomas Lees. Any help greatfully received!
Hi Northern Lass,Re: Clara Rose Mann
1901 census 20 Bowling Green Terrace
Thomas R Lees B1860 Bham Stationery Engine Driver? (this occupation was entered against Rose's name and likewise for Laundress against Violet and Press worker for Elizabeth so the occupations need to go up a line ie Rose was probably the laundress, and Violet the pressworker)
Rose Lees - Wife - B1859 Bham
Violet M Lees - Daughter - B1886 Bham - Laundress
Elizabeth Lees - Daughter B1891 Bham - Pressworker

Very interesting search. I've been doing more or less the same search! In my search I found out that my Grandfather was born at number 20 Bowling Green Terrace in 1880. Attached is a copy of the census from 1881. So it would seem that the Lees family moved into number 20 after my great, great Grandparents moved to most likely Coventry. Not sure about this, but got the info. earlier on this forum.
Cheers
