I've got a silver cigarette case hallmarked Birmingham 1852 with the makers mark M M & Co, nobody in the collector community seems to know who M M & Co were, any chance anyone on here might have a clue. E.
Eric, in the 1949 Kellys there is a firm of silversmiths Mayes,Mills & Co. Ltd. with an address in Vyse Street a possible company.
