ludgate hill..

Lyn
That looks like the original Phyllis Nicklin photo of ludgate Hill, without the tweaking that Kieth Berry gave it. If its not then the position of the cars etc mean it must have been taken the same very quiet day.

The "tarted up" version (with added colour) is on the Phyllis Nicklin section of the Keith Berry site with the cars in exactly the same position, so it must be a Nicklin. Incidently I've come accross an old possesion of Phyllis Nicklin by accident. My local Oxfam shop was selling off old unbound copies of the magazine "The local historian" donated by someone. The first two or three volumes were all stamped Extramural studies library, Univ of birmingham, except for one issue, which had handwritten on it P.A.Nicklin. Maybe one day, when her work is fully appreciated (and accessible) it'll be worth something !!.
