Lovekin - Bradley Lovekin

Gill Wiseman

proper brummie kid
Looking for any information on the Lovekin Family living in 1906 at
115 Fourth Avenue, Small Heath, Birmingham.
I have a hand written letter giving my Grandfather a reference - he was in a Musical Act called the Victoria Variety Vocalists and the writer was ? christian name - Bradley Lovekin, late Manager.
I would like to try to find more about the act - have a photograph showing there were 8 of them.

Almost every Lovekin child since the marriage of Richard Lovekin to Eliza Bradley in 1844 appears to have been given Bradley as their second Christian name.

On the 1901 census none of them appears to have been a manager of any establishment, most of them are employed in the Jewellery industry.
Many are in the Small Heath area but not Fourth avenue.

Christian names include.
Edward,Richard,Frederick,Alfred,Horace,Leonard and Victor.

One Lovekin was a very prosperous jeweller who built Tudor Grange in Solihull which later was the home of the Bird family of custard powder fame

I'm a bit late on parade.
My maternal family are Lovekin. My great grandpa was Alfred Lovekin of Adie and Lovekin.
I dont remember hearing about a Bradley Lovekin, but I will ask around the family and get back to you.
