Hi. I am trying to find my Uncle Roger (born Roger Martin 1950, but stage name Roger Frank). I would love to reunite with him and know his two brothers feel the same. My Dad had a stroke in December and he has been asking for Roger. I have tried so many routes but stumbled on this and thought it might be a chance. Brothers Peter and Robert. Parents Nancy and Frank.

Yep. Date of birth 9th June 1950. Family were all born in Rubery. We cannot find a death certificate for him. We have a CV from many years ago but the address is no longer valid. Thanks so much. I would love to reunite the brothers. And I know it would mean the world to Pete and my Dad Bob.

ok thank you for that info i take it there is no middle name?...it could be he left the country or even changed his name to his stage name but as i said if i or anyone else can help you find him its best to send you a private message as this could relate to a living person..i have also moved this thread to our looking for old friends and family section

Hello, I tried to message privately but it wouldn’t send.

I’ve stumbled upon your message as I saw on Facebook that it is Roger’s birthday today.

I was fortunate to know Roger Franke (with a ‘e’) back in 2007-10 when I attended Birmingham School of Acting (now part of Birmingham Conservatoire) and he worked there. He retired in 2011 and was much loved by all of us students.

I’m very sorry to tell you that I think he passed away in 2022-23. I found your post as I was googling to look for more details (I’m afraid I couldn’t find any).

If you contact the Acting School at Birmingham Conservatoire they may be able to help you as I think some of the staff who knew Roger are still there

Sorry I can’t help any further. I hope it brings some comfort to know that Roger had a big impact on a lot of hopeful young acting students lives- it was his job to ring people to tell them they got in and he was a really supportive presence in the school. I, and many others, will never forget him.

All best wishes to you and your family.

lets hope karen logs back into this thread to read the above info about roger..its seems the mystery is solved but to be certain it maybe an idea for karen to obtain the death certificate as it may help
