Looking for John Stokes Family Members

Hello,

Looking for the family members of John Stokes, you may know him for his stunt up the pole for five weeks outside roller skater rink which was covered by the British Pathé online video. Please message on this thread, last I saw there was a Debbie Stokes trying to track his family down!

I am the girlfriend of John’s son Matthew Stokes who would love to reconnect with family!

Last address was Weoley castle,
Birthday 28th of April 1934

His parents were Thomas and Evelyn who we think had around 23 children… John Stokes being one of them.
He used to work at the skate rink in hockley Birmingham.

Are you on Ancestry? There is a family tree which shows John and a whole list of siblings and half siblings - it looks as if his Father was married more than once.
If you are, then I would contact the tree owner and see how they are related and see if they can put you in touch with family members. If you aren't, then you could take out a months subscription rather than a year if necessary.

Can't work out if I'm mixing up Thomas Stokes a father and son. If not it looks like in 1939 he is living with 2 'wives' neither of which he appears to marry and his children from both.

Not sure I can find 23 children, 18 or 19 maybe - 6 (Sarah), 3 (Alice), 8 or 9 (Evelyn)

That fits the tree on Ancestry - I saw Evelyn and Sarah.
