I am looking for Joseph elwell married Mary ann alcock. I find them living in New bond building, bond street Aston. Any information regarding the building please.
Could you tell us when about this was. I assume you mean bond st off Constiution hill, which I would not consider to really be Aston, though near. Bond St is a very short st , so there cannot be many candidates for the building
New bond St is different place than Bond St. Going by the place in the census, the numbering in directories and on the later electoral rolls, I am pretty sure I can place whereabouts the buildings were, though think probably they were demolished before the the c1889 map below ,as being at the south end in the area of the red square.
I see on the census the page before, mary ann allcocks parents are also living in the building. Her fathers occupation is boatman. So thats probably right as the canal is along side. Great thank you
