Hi can anyone help?
Did a Birmingham company called Bladon make oil lamps for London Transport years ago, probably mid last century, as I heard their name is stamped on various BR oil lamps
Any help appreciated

There is a Bladon Oil Lamp on Ebay but it doesn't mention whether it was made for London Transport...

Thanks for the reply, I’m actually looking for a company called Bladon from Birmingham (last century) that might have made London Transport oil lamps as I have three that need restoration and need help with the appropriate colour schemes that were used.

Thanks for all the replies, I’m actually looking for a way to contact the Bladon company, either directly or through a new company if they evolved.
I’m trying to find out what colour yellow the top is.

TE Bladon and Son appear on my Bladon family tree. The company no longer exists but they made oil lamps, blow lamps, railway lamps and many other items of metalware. It was founded in the 1880s by Thomas Edward Bladon and became a limited company in the early 1900s when his son William Edward joined the company which was based in Northwood Street. Re died in 1928 and his son in 1954 after which his daughters ran the business and it moved to Tamworth. You can contact me via my web site bladonfamilyhistory.wordpress.com
