Lock keeper’s cottages

First pic is looking down from Deykin Avenue to Lock 13, the other is a boat leaving Lock 12 in front of cottage 79. View attachment 207841View attachment 207843
Lovely clear photos! The top one shows where the two cottages and the canal pump house would have been and the bottom one shows BCN Canal Cottage 79 which I believe is for sale at the moment. It's a lovely property in a difficult situation. It even has a good dry cellar.

Sorry for the error. I will replace the map with the correct one. The map is from the National Museum of Scotland website. the link to it is https://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/#zoom=17.8&lat=52.51454&lon=-1.87175&layers=173&b=ESRIWorld&o=100. , but you can move to areas around with the cursor

Map is now corrected and comment tthat they are still there removed
Thank you for the link to the map. I have now found the exact position of cottages that I hadn't found before! Cottages numbers 80 & 81 were not close to a road. They were at the side of the Tame Valley Canal between 79 & 82.
