Little Cannon Street Fire Station

Thanks Mike, a good photo, even has, what I assume is the engine in the doorway. Could you place it on a map please? Thanks. Viv.

That is difficult Viv. it was no 8-11 Little Cannon St (from 1873 directory). Little Cannon St was a street that went from Cannon St and ended at Warwick Passage, The numbering listed in the directories went up to 17, and warwick Oassage is marked as before no 8, so I think it reasonable to assume that gthe fire station was at the Warwick Passage end of the street. This , however means that it was probably on a site which later became part of Corporation st, the remaining part being renamed Fore St
