I am trying to find out previous businesses who used the premises before Lessar Brothers Ltd established themselves there around 1924. Also be interesting to see when and why the original structure was built, and perhaps what was there even before that.
In 1921 no 42 was occupied by Wheway Optical Co. Ltd. opticians. In 1908 it was the Wheway Optical Co. 1895 till 1900 the firm was Wheway Son & Redfern, opticians
Up till 1892 it was George W. Whitehouse, jewellers.
