Lees Eliza - Adams Hill, Bartley Green

Mike Fisher

Billesley Boy
I have Eliza Lees burial in 1934 age 68 giving an address of 17 Adams Hill.
I have her in 1921 living at 6 Adams Hill.
I can't find her in the 1911 census and wonder who is living with her in Adams Hill.

Re: Eliza Lees - Adams Hill, Bartley Green

I think No 6 would have been the set of old cottages situated at the top of Adams Hill, on the right going down from Jiggins lane, No17 I am sure was one of two houses situated where the school now stands, these were demolished around 1958/9 and the cottages around 1955/6.

Thanks for that , I have found her in the 1911 census as a servant in Harborne , but need to know who she was living with in Adams Hill.

Have put in more than you asked for, as it seems a bit complicated. Was Eliza also known as Walker ?
Electoral rolls show:
1920-22 Eliza Walker, 6 Adam’s Hill
1922 William Lees 22 Adam’s Hill
1925 William & Emma Lees 17 Adam’s Hill
1925 Eliza Walker, 348 Adam’s Hill
1925 William Walker & Phillimore & Emma Holloway 346 Adam’s hill
1930 Phillimore & Emma Amelia Holloway 346 Adam’s hill
1930 Eliza Lees 17 Adam’s Hill
1935 Ellen Wilson Turner 17 Adam’s Hill
1935 1930 Phillimore & Emma Amelia Holloway 346 Adam’s hill
