Ledsam St & the Dynamite plot

As I was reading through the “Mother’s Companion” of Feb 1894 I came across the Patent Borax Company of Ledsam Street. The earliest mention of the Company I can find is 1892, and they went into liquidation in 1939.

I have show the location on the map for around 1913, and some illustrations of the factory.

Some great pictures there, Pedro. These days I mix borax with brown sugar and a little water in order to poison carpenter ants!
