Hi guys
I am trying to trace an relative of mine an aunty whom lived at number ten or twelve Cromwell terrace Lichfield road Aston Birmingham 6
In 1955 I believe she was connected to my father
If its possible to get info on this lady I believe she had a daughter named Joyce also living there with them
And George died after coming out of the war with a loss of his leg and died of cancer in around 1953.4 year any info would be gratefully received to get me started on this one
And once again I thank any one for there valuable time in taking time to read this request best wishes astonian,,,,,,,,,,,,

I can find no Leara or George Hellier listed in the electoral rolls 1939 -1965.
 
Hi mike maybe its the electrol roll for the period and not the censors I was born at number five and they was on the opersite side to our house which was 5/92 Lichfield red we left in 1957 and they was there when we left is it not listed as Cromwell square Lichfield red many thanks alan
 
There is a George and Leah Hellyer listed at 14 back of 90 Lichfield Road on the 1955 electoral roll. In 1935 and 1939 they are listed at 14 Cromwell Square and seem to be lodging with Elizabeth Handley. In 1945 only they are listed. Those are the only years I can access on ancestry.

George Hellyer married Leah Handley 1920 they had 3 daughters Leah, Joyce and Jean,
George died in 1954 age 56.

Nice to hear from you again and many thanks for your valuable time for me on this one which I will per sue
I believe there was some sort of family interest on my fathers side I remember going to learas house as a kid with my mother
And it was on the day of Georges funeral a lot of people turned out and the neibours all turned out for him
I was there at his house on the day they carried him out to the hearse but years later in life when about 15 years old I went back with
My mother they was posh in away nice clean and tidy they all worked
But on opening the front Leah emediatialy said to my mother by god Joyce I thought it was our Albert
Meaning dads brother went to war and got killed in action is name WS Albert I beleivehe may have had been a step brother
I recall Joyce being there she was a little plumish lady never married ibeleive my dad was William stevens worked at Charles Harris on the flat of lodge red
For many years before he died there at the age of 42 years old I think he worked along side Sylvia's mother whom is a member here
But anyway Alberta thanks for your help yet again and now I can progress best wishes as always Alan, astonian,,,
