Lawn House

brumie till i die

proper brummie kid
I was walking home the other day and walked past what was soho day nursery on the corner of soho road and st michaels hill (opp the church) and noticed on the pillar which has now been cleaned up due to work being carried out on the building the name Lawn House and was wondering if anyone could shed some more light on this building, as alright I know the landscape has changed alot since the building was built, but it seems a strange name for the house.

The only Lawn House in Warickshire in the 1911 census is
Lawn House Yardley Rd Aston Birmingham. Is that the one ?

Unfortunetly no, as I said in my original post it's on the corner of Soho Road and St Michaels Hilll opp St Michaels church. I don't even know how old the name is I would say the building was built in Victorian/Edwarian times.
I mean it could just be what someone decided to call their home.
