I lived in Acacia Avenue in the early 50's to the late 60's, I would like to know what year the Estate was built? Thanks, Mark
The modern residential area of Kingshurst was built in the 1950s as an overspill housing estate for Birmingham City Council, with construction continuing into the 1960s. The name comes from the historic Kingshurst Hall, which was a large building first built between the late 13th and 14th centuries, then rebuilt between 1700 and 1720, and finally demolished in 1962.I lived in Acacia Avenue in the early 50's to the late 60's, I would like to know what year the Estate was built?
