Many thanks to everyone who came and helped today I can't beleive how much wood we burnt. It was so nice to meet Brumagen_lass and her daughter and sister in law. Thanks to Brian for uncovering another lost grave. It was lovely to meet all the people who turned up to the Pen Room as well. Nice to eventually meet rosie and hubby.:)

Great photos Wendy  Good work everyone!
I am sorry that I didn't get there earlier to help with the work :(- I owe Brian some serious clear up work now!
It was lovely to meet new faces, including Brummagen_lass, her daughter and her sister.
I also went to Warstone Lane cemetery for the first time which I enjoyed, especially as I was able to see the grave of my 3x Gt grandparents that Brian found for me very recently.
We had a very enjoyable time at the Pen Room - it was good to catch up with everyone who went. :)

great pics wend and well done to those of you who braved the cold weather today...:)

I enjoyed our get-together in the Pen Room. Nice to see everyone, and the hot tea was VERY welcome!

It was lovely to see you all and have a natter thanks to glynis for the tea and the washing up...xx

You're very welcome!! I really enjoyed it too and I think we should make it a regular thing, three or four a year, just as socials so we can all keep in touch.
Thanks to all at the Pen Room, they were great and didn't charge us huge amounts for the room.......

Yes I agree Glynis. It's also a nice opportunity for people to see and talk about what is being done in the cemeteries. Thanks to all at the Pen Room they are great friends.

I was so sorry to miss the clear-up yesterday. I was looking forward to being there, but on Friday I had an SOS from my daughter in Cambridge who had been on her own with her youngsters (aged 2 & 4) whilst her husband worked away. Nana duties won out, I'm afraid :)
I'll contact Brian and arrange to do some clearing up soon!

Fully understand Leslam my son travels abroad a lot with his job and I am always on stand by to help with the grandchildren.

Don't worry we will have other days and not eveyone can make it we all do what we can.

We are hoping to have more meet ups at the Pen Room so that should be nice.

Hello Wendy

It was good to meet all of you too. I'm sorry I wasn't at the clear-up, I hope to be there next time, and "do a bit" in between times if I can. They say "every little helps".

rosie.

Hello rosie it was lovely to see you too. Brian has suggested we close some of the tables as it was difficult to get round and talk. We will do that next time. Any help is great so thanks. I think I will bring a chair next time ...lol

Hello Wendy, yes that's a good idea, and the chair too!

I enjoyed the photos, the first picture of the second four is near one of the family graves, so thank you all for clearing the area, as it used to be quite overgrown, but it looks as though it's all opened out now.

Can't wait for warmer weather to go and see!

rosie.
