Josef Darr Export Business

Could I find out form any of these directories if my grandfather had a business premises in Birmingham any time between 1906 and 1930. Possible in Vesey St or Selly wick Rd as these properties are listed along with his abode in 1925 electorial role. He had an Export Import company between Birmingham and Constantinople (aka turkey). Long shot!

Thanks for looking up this. How did you link Joseph Darr with these businesses. Did he just own the property or does it mention him by name as being involved with these businesses? I take it the one in Selly wick Rd is just a tenant not a business?

These are the addresses linked to joseph in the 1925 electoral roll. That's the only connection i have I'm afraid. The Selly wick road property looks like a private house. In the 1940 directory, when more houses are listed, Jeffrey's widow (presumably from the name) is resident an is near doctors, Sir Alfred Pinsent bart, and similar people, so it is a pretty affluent area. Looking at Bing maps in the birds eye view the houses around there now mainly look newer, so am not sure if the old house remains
