John Jefcoate married Sarah Whitcomb, according to the IGI, on 19 June 1814. Please can someone check to see if his father is Benjamin and if so, who were the witnesses please? Many thanks. Shortie
 
there were no fathers listed on the early marriages. this is all the info on the cert.

john jefcoate of this parish bachelor and sarah witcomb of this parish spinster were married by banns on 19 june 1814

witnesses were thomas sargant and elizabeth witcomb
 
Thank you again Shera. Of course fathers were not on PR's until after 1 July 1837 - I think my brain was having a rest last night, or maybe it has died? I am sure this man is one of my family, but I was hoping brother William would have been a witness. Thanks - Shortie
