Jennens Cecil Howard Death Certificate help

Can anyone help me out please, I am looking for all the details of the Brothers, sisters, Birth, Death Details, basicaly any details as i have none what so ever

of

Nancy Jennens formaly Low of 9 Bedford Road, Sutton Coldfield, married to ( John Jennens, DOB December 16, 1930) Nancy died about 21 years ago. she was cremated at sutton coldfield crem.

also of Cecil Howard Jennens of 438 Jockey Road, Sutton Coldfield, Father of John Wilton Jennens wife Irene Lilian Jennens Formaly Wilton.

I gave up on this part of my tree as it got too complicated but i have started looking again and it is still complicated.

There was a Muriel Jennens of Sutton Coldfield who was the mother and God parent of John Wiltin Jennens, Why, i don't know, i dont know why she ended up being the mother and god parent, Muriel died about 10 years ago i think, and was also cremated at Sutton Coldfield Crem.

If anyone can help to figure out this Jennens family i would be very grateful

Muriel Ena Jennens died June 1993 she was born 18th Oct 1908

I have found a Muriel Ena Wilton born Lancs 4th qtr 1908 but cannot find her marriage.

Cecil H Jennens married Irene L Wilton 1928 St Asaph July qtr
reference 11b 570

John Wilton Jennens born Tamworth birth registered Jan 1931 was he a child of Cecil and Irene
birth certificate can verify ref 6b 723

Do you know the name of Muriel Jennens husband?

Thanks Alberta, i don't know anymore than than that, i think she married a Law, only ever heard him mentioned as Grampe Law,this is going to sound really stupid but what is St Asaph, is that where they married and what does July qtr mean and what is this ref 11b 570 to, all details have filled in so far are from family members so have not needed to use anything else untill now so forgive my ignorance but these codes and things i have no idea what they mean

Yes, John was son of Cecil Howard and Irene Lilian but somewhere John was adopted by Muriel and she was also his godmother, i think John's mom Irene died she was Muriels sister and when she died Muriel married Cecil , does that make sense.
i expect that answers the question of who was Muriels husband

The year was divided into 4 tqtrs for registration purposes
Jan/Feb/Mar qtr 1
April/May/June qtr 2
July/Aug /Sept qtr 3
Oct/nov/Dec qtr 4

This is for registration (not when the birthdate was) if for example John Jennens was born December 1930 there was no need for his parents to register him for the next 6 weeks so his birth is in 1st qtr 1931

St Asaph is the place where the event was registered
The reference numBer is the Volume and page that holds the record at the
General Register office

The explanation you have given to the 'tangle' is a possibility.

have you anything on this gentleman, Douglas Vernon Law, birth or Death Details and also the name of his wife, and birth and death details, (think she was born in Abbots Bromley), he was the Father of Nancy Jennens, think he was the Headmaster of Darleston Comp School although i do not know when, also birth and death dates for Nancy Jennens formaly Low, cremated at Sutton Crem

I see from Douglas Law family that his older brother was a college student,it would appear that his father probably set a great store by education.
I have seen this before in mining areas,the fathers were determined that the boys would not go down the mine the way they did.

The first list is Douglas Vernon Law he is with his father Frederick a widower and his brothers and it is a copy of the census entry for 1901..
They are living in Bolton on Dearne Yorkshire


The second list is the 1901 census entry for his future wife
Esther Gertrude Astley her parents are Evan and charlotte and the others
her brothers and sister.
They are living in Longdon which is a village between Rugeley and Lichfield

Am so glad you confirmed how i had filled my tree in, i done it as you just confirmed but was worried it was not as i thought, so all those on the list are still alive, i had better change my tree ofr them i have put tem all as deceased So who was Fredericks wife, i am sorry Alberta, its late and i tired, no, i am an idiot, they have got to be dead, oh i dont know who is who, or what is what, been on this since 6 this morning, my brain is scramled, i just dont know anything now

On the previous census Fredericks wife is Emma,I haven't found her maiden name yet but will persevere.

Could I presume to make a suggestion.

You appear to be trying to trace very many people at the same time.
From experience I think it is easier to trace one line at a time.
eg, When you have your paternal grandparents trace the grandfathers line and when you are satisfied with that then do grandmothers line.
and repeat with maternal grandfather then maternal grandmother.
It is better to leave your aunts and uncles until you have estabished your ancestry.

Family tree making is fun so don't get 'bogged down' by too many branches.

You are, i know, to be honest all the tree i have done up till now has been through me picking the brains of my family, now i am left to do it on my own, as no one can tell me any more, and to be honest, i have not the faintest idea where to start looking, so am asking on here, although i really enjoy doing it i would gladly hand it over to someone else but no one else in the family is really bothered. its easy when you can pick up the phone and ask mom or dad but when its down to "right your on your own" its difficult to know where to start, also, am trying to do my Husbands branch also, he is the Jennens, i did not want him to think i was only doing mine, as he in interested in his, but has not the time to do it, think i will do his now and again, when i get a bit fed up of the Jones's, i think your right, will try as you said, my half is Jones, Clarke (think that is why i stopped on ours, as Clarke and Jones is a very popular name) and Bridgeman, but cant seem to find anything on the Bridgeman's.
