I Am Researching This Lady By The Name Of Joyce Ivy Beatrice Jelf,
Whom Was Related To The Jelfs And Believed To Be A Cousin To George Jelf AndNamed After A Couple Of The Aunts , Namely Ivy Jelf , And A LADY
Called Beatrice Jelf ,born In Aston Around The Feb Of 1925
I Was Wondering If Any body Can Recall Her And Give Me Any Info;
As To What School She May Have Gone Too I Do Believe She Went To A School Some where In Handsworth Any Information On This Lady Would Be Very Much Appreciated Is There Any School Friend Or Relative Still Around Whom Can Remember Her

There used to be Jelfs Cafe, I think it was in Church Rd. Aston oppisite thr Domestic Furn. Store.

This might give you a lead it would be in 1940/50's

Mother's maiden name Hinton.

Ivy Jelf, Born 26 July 1905, birth registered Aston, 3rd quarter 1905 vol 6d page 327. Died November 1988.

Ruby B Jelf. (could this be Beatrice??) Birth registered 1st quarter 1926, Birmingham north, vol 6d page 863.
Mother's maiden name Harris.

Would this lady be an Aunt of yours Astonian because i remember we found that your grandparents were Ernest Jelf and Bertha Hinton who married 1916.

I can find no other reference to Ruby B Jelf, other than her Mother's maiden name was Harris, and the birth was registered 1st quarter 1926, Birmingham north, vol 6d page 863.
It might not be a relative of yours: the only check is the birth certificate from the details above.

How Are You Fine I Hope , I Haven,nt Been On Site For AWHILE Owing To Being In A Road Accident In A Car Which I Was Traveling In With Some Inlaws The Accident Occured Just Out Side Black pool Town Centre All Or Cars Was A Write OFF And We All Ended Up In Black Poool General Hospital- Any Way Some-time Ago You Gave Me Some Info; On My Grand Prents Marrige Tellimg Me What Year They Got Married
But You Did Not Tell Me Where Or Which Church Or Reg ; Office Is IT Possible For You To Tell Me Which One So I Can Get A Copy Of The Certif; Also Can You Tell
Me Was My Grand Mother Was Married Before I Have LOOKED At The Date Of Marrige
And Compared The Year My Mother Was Born And It Tells Me That She Was Six Years Old Before They Got Married So I Was Wondering Why ,And I Was Thinking If There Was Any think Into It I Had Been Told By A SourceOf Info; In Eversham That The Jelfs

bertha jelf [ nee hinton ]daugter was a joyce jelf she would have been about 14 -15 years of age i would really appreciate if and when you could spare your valuable time on this one for me ,i will under stand if its not possible many thanks astonian;;

John W Jelf, birth registered 2nd quarter 1937, Birmingham, volume 6d page 841.
Mother's maiden name Jelf.
You'd have to get the certificate for actual place of birth though.

many many thanks for that research for me it meant a great deal to me
as i have recently learnt of this birth ,he lady in question was my mother and her having this birth was never disclosed to me so that child would have been a older brother to me i don,t know whether he would be alive today ido not know
but i will persue this now lloyed further
