It's International Day of Birmingham! 24th September

We watched a programme on Sky that Joe Lycett did about visiting all of the towns/cities in the world called Birmingham by bus earlier this year (they are mainly in the USA), which was called "Joe Lycett's United States of Birmingham". It might still be available on "catch up", if so it is worth a look. Nice idea, could have been better publicised though, as this is the first I've heard seen about there being an International Day of Birmingham and it's today.

This is brilliant! I'd never heard of it before but maybe members who still live in Birmingham have?
Celebrating the connection of all the places called Birmingham in the world...

Me either, I wonder how they can make better global connections. I live in TN but Birmingham Alabama is 65 miles straight shot, about 50 mins (75mph) and we have heard nothing. Such a shame, thank you for sharing!
