Is anyone able to look up a name for me? Possible WWI soldier.

Lawson Trout b1897 was a Birmingham publicist and cinema enthusiast from the first half of the C20th, managing his first cinema on Institute Road, Kings Heath in 1915 ('The Cosy') where Nook Gallery is now. He was only 17 when he started! The cinema only survives a year under his management, perhaps being surpassed in popularity by the Ideal on York Road. He reappears in newspaper indices in 1918, writing for The Bioscope about Birmingham cinema-going. The timing makes me think that he may have been conscripted - or even volunteered to join the war effort. Is anyone in a position to look up his name in the various subscription WWI soldier records?

There is a Robert Lawson Trout from Monument Road. Aged 19 joined up 1915 and occupation is Film "something" (can't read it).
I can't post at the moment as I don't have my laptop on.
If no one else posts and you think it might be the right person I will post it tomorrow.

Many thanks - so useful!

His pension records are on Ancestry as Lyn said. There are 6 pages but the last 3 are a medical report. If you want those as well then please PM me an email address.
