Hurst St junction with Inge St

I'm getting confused looking at these pictures - could someone help please?

The first picture here shows the Hippodrome on the corner of Hurst St and Inge St:

yet the second picture on this thread shows the same corner just a few years earlier with no Hippodrome in sight:

Because it's not Inge Street.

Well yes, I wondered that - except that on the Hurst St thread a couple of people (who know a lot more than I do) said it was Inge St.

Could it be the corner of Hurst St and Kent St maybe?

Help can anybody read the name of the restaurant/hotel next door to the chippy in 1968. thanks
