Hunt's jewellery Corporation Street

This old established business relocated to the bottom end of Corporation Street. I think it was probably located somewhere near the present-day James Watt Queensway in 1897 as it was 'opposite the General Hospital' (Steelhouse Lane). An entrance from Stafford Street is mentioned, too. The drawing suggests Corporation Street around this position wasn't fully developed when Hunt's building was built.

Can we locate this on a map please as, I think, this part of Corporation Street (and Stafford Street ?) may now be missing!!

Was a 'pledge' department a pawn shop ?
