Hello David, Dudley was in Worcestershire so Harriett did indeed hail from Worcestershire.

I have been following your path through the maze of your family history with delight.:)

As the last person stated Dudley did come under Worcester. I found that out recently. I also have had the same problem with name swopping, it must have been so much easier back then to go by what name you wanted, guess they didnt have credit checks haha.
So did the search help you, i thought my family were hard to follow but yours are worse.
Did you like the 1911 census, i found it fascinating. Telling you how long they had been married and how many kids had died.

Well I knew how many kids had died - 1. Rose H Hunt died aged 13 months in 1901.
I know that 3 of my dad's 10 older siblings will never appear on any census because they died as infants. They'll just appear as statistics. Will have to wait till the 1931 to see any as the first came along in 1922. But to add that 3 of my dad's sisters all had names beginning with E - to add to the fact that his mom's name was Ellen.
There was:
Ellen Cook (nee Hunt, mother 1898-1972)
Ellen Rose Cook (later Brown, known as Rose 1922 - 1999)
Elsie Francis Cook (later Adams, 1926 -)
Edna Hilda Cook (later Hodgkisson 1935 -)

As for "Harry" Hunt, the only explanation is that it refers to his middle name of Henry. My nan was called Nell by her sister Alice. I know this because my dad (as a boy) often went with his mom to see his aunt in Newtown. They were Victorian in their ways - my nan referred herself as Mrs Cook to non family. To my aunts and uncles (and dad) she was simply called Mom. My dad didn't learn her name until much later in life.
Have looked on the GRO (at Kings Heath library), I've discovered a Charles Hunt born June Qtr 1864 Droitwich. I've also noted a Harriet Taylor born June Qtr 1861 Dudley (works out if she was born end of March).
I just need to get the census return and discover how long they had been married. I need a marriage certificate to get the dads names to check any birth records against. I just don't know where they could have tied the knot.
Which offices should I use though for these births? The Droitwich office has ltd opening times and is by appointment - would Worcester hold the records? As for the Dudley birth, I suppose Dudley is the place to go.
 
OK, got printouts of the Hunts on the 1911.
Living at 2 Back 55 Weaman St, B'ham (near Colmore Circus)
Charles Hunt 46 Caretaker from Droitwich
Harriett Hunt 49 (she was 40 on 1901 census?) from Dudley
Alice Hunt 14 At School, born Worcester
Ellen Hunt 13 At School, born Worcester
Harry Hunt 4 born Birmingham

Total married years 17
Number of children born 5
Still living 3

So, the problems here. This census was carried out on 02/04/1911. Harriett was aged 40 as of 31/03/1901 but is only 49 some 10 years and a few days later.
It appears that another child that I didn't know about had been born (likely between 1901 and 1906) and has died since. I knew of Rose Harriet who died in October 1901, aged 13 months. It may take ages to identify the mystery child.
Having got the length of marriage (17 years), the date of marriage is between 1893 and 1894. Looked on GRO but to no avail. I'm just gonna have to contact Dudley and Worcester register offices to see if they have a marriage for Charles Hunt/Harriett Taylor.
 
I am wondering if there is a quick way to uncover the identity of the other Hunt baby that was born and then died in the time between 1901 and 1911. My best guess is that it happened between 1901 and 1906 (William "Harry" Hunts birth year).
May be going to Witton cemetary later - to visit another cousin's grave (not on the Hunt side) so I can place a poppy on it, and also to visit Harriett's last resting place - 90 years this month. I couldn't guess who was the last person to visit her grave (Harry died in 1980). The fact that it's a public grave makes it all the more solemn.
