HELLO .
I WAS WONDERING WHETHER ANYBODY COULD HELP ME ,I AM TRYING TO TRACE MY GRANDMOTHERS ROOTS  SHE WAS BORN MARY ANN HUGHES IN A VLLAGE CALLED SALFORD VILLAGE   AT NO 56 SALFORD VILLAGE WORC ,REDDICH WHICH I THINK IT IS OR WAS WARICKSHIRE AT THE TIME THE YEAR WAS  NOVEMBER 1856
I BELEIVE HER MOTHER WAS A LADY NAMED
ELIZA HUGHES AND SHE WAS ABOUT 26 YEARS OF AGE , WHEN MARY WAS BORN
AND ELIZA ,S MOTHER WAS  HANNA BANNING .
I WOULD BE GRATEFUL IF SOME-ONE COULD PUT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION ,
     BEST WISHES  ASTONIAN ;;;;

Re: MARY ANN HUGHESHI

Hi Astonian. Checking the Oct - Dec Qtr 1856 there does not appear to be a birth in Redditch (which is where I am oddly enough) have you got the birth cert for her? If not can you give any more details, I have'nt found an entry on the 1861 census in Redditch either.

Barrie.

Re: MARY ANN HUGHESHI

Here's the one you want mate, the view image, and disability don't mean anything in this instance, but they do mean something when you are looking at the original image.   I have posted you the original image.  The first census I gave you was the wrong one.

This census is the 1851 for Salford in Warwickshire, they have not put any addresses on there.

Re: MARY ANN HUGHESHI

Think you will find this is the birth reg for Mary Ann Hughes. The registration district of Bromsgrove covers Redditch.

Births Dec 1850
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hughes Mary Ann Bromsgrove 18 229

Just because she was registered in the Dec Qtr does'nt mean she was born then of course, she could have been born some time earlier, they wer'nt always in a hurry to register 'em. :)

Re: MARY ANN HUGHES

That is clearer to read mate. I do think however, that posting the original image was perhaps a mistake on my part. In future, if someone really wants the original image of the census, I will make arrangements with them privately to use "snail mail" , what do you think?
