Thanks Alberta, that is very helpful, i had no siblings or mothers surname for Edwin so it gives me a few more names to play with.

Thanks Pomgolian, that was also very helpful, i do know that Kitty had a sister Mary who married Henry Haseler (Ellen was on a census living with them) and have not found parents for Kitty and Mary, i now have Albert to play with (excuse the pun)

It was good of you both to find this info for me.

Have a good chritmas

Karen - Although I have no known connection with the HOMERs in your original enquiry on this thread, I am also researching my HOMER family history.

My GGF John "Jack" HOMER was born at 119 Pope Street. (He died in Dartford (Kent) in 1926)

His father and mother William and Mary Ann (nee MATTHEWS) were born and died in Birmingham though they did have a short spell living and working in Erith (Kent).

My GGGF Isaac HOMER died at 161 Icknield Street in 1858. He was married to Henrietta (nee CROFT) who died at 104 Warstone Lane in 1843.

I am busy writing it all up and have put a few things on my website at:

Hi Paul

You have a good website, have just looked at it. I have been looking at old photos on the net and found this site with some Homers on it, I have not been able to find a connection with my family, but may be of some help to you.

Hello Karen
What an excellent site Ted has put together. The HOMERs there are too contemporary to establish a connection at the moment, but they may well be descendents of my Isaac and William HOMERs.
I must get a move on to put more on my site!
Paul

Hi Paul

Yes it is a very interesting site, I have put a message on the noticeboard asking for the person who sent it to contact me to see if there was a connection, but have had no response yet.
