Hipwood William

proper brummie kid
I know it is a different county, but not too far away. Can anyone direct me to where I could find a William Hipwood born 1803?? In Wolverhampton. I do not know his parents, but I know he emigrated to Australia in 1832 and is listed on the ships passenger list as a pensioner soldier. I know most of his history since then as I am a direct descendant on my mothers side but have drawn a blank in England. I have tried all the usual haunts ...find my past, ancestry, etc but it no avail. Any assistance or direction would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Tony
