Hi,

I've hit another brick wall:(. I'm looking for the marriage of Richard Hinton and Mary Ann Walters(?) I think they were married before 1841. Can any one help?

thanks Lloyd - you're a star*. they had a son in Jan 1842, hmm cutting it a bit fine!

The marriage didn't always come before the firstborn, I've an elderly relative who never knew her father, and her mother wouldn't speak of him. I've found their wedding, four years after their daughter's birth. I won't tell my aunt (she's in her 90's and I don't think she'd want to know now).

Hi I am one of many Hinton's my father was born in Aston in 1917, with five siblings. (its a start I aim to try and gather more info, but not many of them are alive to day).

Hi,
It would be good if we could find a link. I've had trouble tracing the Hintons, my ggrandfather was an only child (i think), His father had a brother William who married Ellen Bull, I dont' know whether they had any children or not. My great grandfather was George Richard Hinton born Aston 1890. I do have some info, so if you find a link let me know.
Good luck

Hi Pom,

Sorry not replied, but only just seen your post.

George Richard was my great grandfather, he also became a goldcutter (i would love to be able to find apprentice records but dont know where to start looking). The family moved around Clifford Street for some time, living at 115, 121 and 125 over the years before moving to Jardine Road and running a sweet shop.

Best wishes

Hi Astonian,
Yes - I saw that - what a coincidence! One day we will find a connection!
At the moment i haven't got a Edith Perks or Walter Hinton on my tree.
Did you get the marriage certificate? or know who Edith's parents where?
Hope you are having a good day too.
