Hills ,Lones and Hayward

Hayward family

Brummie babby
My grandmother was the twin daughter of Alias Lones and Sarah Jane Hills ,her father died when she was very young and she ended up in an Orphanage which was sponsored by the Manders Family,i think its now the private boys school in Wolverhampton. She subsequentley married William Hayward in the early 1900s and lived in Harbourne.Does anyone know anything of the Orphanage?

Should that be Elias Lones?

According to the 1901 census (although you probaby know this but am posting for other members)

thanks i have read it all and it ties in with what she told me about having to take an exam etc to get into the school, see some Manders on the Board. Her mother remarried and i think she was at home by 1906 and married 1915.She always said it was very strict and she was trained as a short hand typist.
