My great great great grandmother Sarah Jane Holt took her life in 1908 in the canal, she lived at Crook Hay lane, married with 8 kids. Has anyone got any old pictures of both places around 1900s/1908. Thank you.
sorry no photos as yet..i am sure that you know that the newspaper report stated that how sarah ended up in water was a mystery however they may have found out at a later date do you have her death certificate?..i am also sure that you know crook hay lane still exists but the old houses have all gone..looking at the 1921 census on ancestry sarahs husband george was still widowed and living with his daughter emily..her husband and their young children..you may also like to contact west bromwich archives who maybe able to help you with old photos..click on link below
Thank you. Well the verdict was she took her own life. I'm still doing research on her and trying to go through it all, I will try to find the death certificate etc.
