Herbert - Blackheath area

kah

Flamenco Brummie
Have just discovered that my Great Grandmother (Laura Sophia Herbert) was living in the Blackheath area until her death in 1960. Her husband, Ernest died in 1951. Very much a beginner question, but have read posts about electoral roles. How would I go about finding these as I would like to know the address if possible. Thanks for any help. Karenanne

right through from 1920 to 1955 which is where the electoral rolls go up to at present the address was 73 waverley rd. sparkbrook

Yes, that's them! Thanks Shera, I will go and see if the house is still there ( I think it was when I was young) Not sure why she would have moved to Blackheath for the last five years. Having said that, the information is from a distant relative who used to visit from Berkshire and they may be confusing Small Heath with Blackheath? Thanks again, Karenanne

go to the website of "midlands historical data". you can view by paying credits or a subscription

i should have added i think you can view them at the birmingham library too and it would be free there
