Henry Shaw & Sons., Park Street
The origins of the family firm of Henry Shaw & Sons Ltd. date back to 1799 and they were originally based in Park Street at the time when this area was the centre of Birmingham's metal working trade. Originally a nail maker but later rivets, tacks, chains and much more were added. They were also a wholesaler to the trade. Originally known as the Railway Bridge Works but later as the Park Works.
1852
About 1909 the firm moved to a new factory in Birchall Street, Digbeth.

One report suggested that the factory was subsequently converted to apartments. Although I read that the factory was on the corner of Birchell Street/Bradford Street, neither of the present buildings on the corners look right. Can any one work it out?
Correction: factory demolished and new block built on site - info thanks to Bummy-lad - see next post!

A final move was made to Crown Road in Bordesley Green - still known as the Park Works.
