I was born in Heath St in 1947 and lived there until I was 6 years old. Lived at 11 back of 381, remember little bits about it but would love to see pictures of the yard and the street from those times. Remember Parkers rag yard, my dad and grandad worked there. Remember the Mansells who live in a posher house actually on the street. There was a character called Ronnie Moult who my parents knew he was quite the comic. I went to St Patricks school on the Dudley Road. Used to scrounge a lift home on the rag mens carts if they were coming past, felt quite the lord going past the other kids. My grandad was David Downing and my grandmother Sarah Downing nee Keogh. Don't remember my grandmother because she was in hospital all the time. I do remember my grandad because he used to babysit me while my parents were at work. Love to hear from anyone who remembers my grand parents or any of the family.
