Edwin Haydon b. c1889 Birmingham (Hockley Heath 1911 census). Absent voters list 1918 14 Lozells Road under name Edwin Frederick Haydon. 1920 ER again 14 Lozells Road (also a Nellie Haydon and a Harry Watson at this address). A Edwin F. Haydon married a Nellie Watson Sept. Q. 1917. Have not found a birth record for a Edwin F. Haydon that fits c1889. Have not found any other records (after 1920 ER) for them. Any help would appreciated.

There is an Edwin Frederick Haydon on 1925 eroll. Living with James Rufford.
Address is 2 back of 7 Vyse Street
Also there in 1927
 
Possible marriage of William Haydon to Emma Pace in 1865. The family are on the censuses and Edwin is one of the youngest in a large family.
Addresses all around Tanworth in Arden/Illshaw/ Hockley Heath area.
Will post later when I put laptop on.

Edwin's birthdate on the censuses changes each time. (Large family and Emma widowed so on own and perhaps dob not always correct)

I did see the 1925 ER with James Rufford at 2 back of 7 Vyse Street. The 1921 census with Beatrice (and Edwin and Nellie) looks right, a number of ER's for 14 Lozells Road have Watson names including Beatrice and a Ellen. Interested in the William Haydon to Emma Pace marriage on the last post from Janice, could be promising,

When I found this marriage I thought 1865 was too early until I found Edwin on a census and realiised how many older siblings he had.

Many thanks Lyn. It does help, ties it all together now. Nellie died 1922 and Edwin re-married 1923 Leah Rufford. Edwin born 20 10 1884, died Dec. Q. 1955. Have 1939 Register now to confirm. Thanks to Janice also, both your help much appreciated.

Janice I at first dismissed the 1939 Register seeing the wife's name Leah but then searched for a death for Nellie. Nothing at first then by luck found it (surname spelt Hayden). It's a problem when translation of a record (that's probably hard to decipher) gets misspelt, the record who want is available it's just finding it (that's when you need that bit of luck).
