You are most welcome Topsie. :D

Do you want info on the 1861 Census, or do you have it? Let me know and I will do a look up.

1861 census

Hi Di.Poppitt
I would love it if you could lookup the 1861 census for me. The only census I have had access to is the 1881.
Many thanks
:D

Hi Topsie

Who am I looking for on the 1861. Arthur H aged 17 in 1881 would have been born c 1864. Do you have the names of his parents or siblings.

Hawley

Hi Di.Poppitt
I think I may have been alseep when I answered your message early this morning sorry.
I don't have any siblings before 1864 of course there could have been some.
I have John Hawley B. 1841 and he married Emily Ada Unknown Surname B. 1839

Also Jessie Oldbury and wife Elizabeth would be approx the same ages

Any info that you can come up with would be greatly appreciated
Take Care

Hi Topsie

The only John Hawley in Birmingham of the right age is a Gun Maker age 20 living at 9,1 Court, Whitehall Street, Birmingham with a wife Martha age 19. did John marry twice?

There is a John Harley, could be wrongly transcribed, I tried reading the original census form, but it is a bad copy, he is living at 3, Court 4, St George Street Birmingham, as a lodger, his occupation shown as Jeweller.

However I have a CD of the 1851 for Birmingham and here is a bit more info

27 Water Street, Birmingham
William Hawley Head 31 Varnish Master Employing 5 hands
Sarah Wife 30
Willaim 11
John 9
Thomas 8
Mary An(sic) 5
Susannah 4
Henry 1
all born Birmingham

Hi Di.Poppitt
This is the 1881 census and Arthur Henry was not there as he was staying with an uncle I am sure I have this correct. What do you think? Somewhere I have John with Arthur Henry on the same file
