yes that would be it as i said i cant find her on the 1911 or the 1921 census..i have her parents on the 1911 and 1921 but minnie is not with themYou could be on to something there. From the Stage, 1911 there is a wanted advert for 12 Lady dancers, 15-22, terms for long engagement. Brewster’s Parisian.
If born in 1890 Minnie would be 21 at the time.
Minnie did return from Spain for the birth of my father, however she had retired from dancing by that time Harold (her husband) and Minnie were living in Barcelona where Harold was Company Secretary for the Remington Typewriter Company. Minnie returned to Barcelona with my dad and they lived there for several years until the Spanish Civil War meant they had to leave, returning to Birmingham.as i cant find minnie on either the 1911 or the 1921 census in birmingham it looks like between these years she was dancing abroad..however she was in birmingham in 1923 which is when her son adrian was born..

Living in Brum, as her parents had to sign the contract between Minnie and Mr Brewster due to her age.not sure what to make of it pedro...my main question is did minnie still live in birmingham when she started to dance for brewsters or did she travel abroad to join the company...maybe martin has the answer if we cant find any records showing that brewsters were indeed based in birmingham then it does look like minnie travelled abroard to join them
