This road contains some unusual houses. Are they the ones referred to in post #9 in this thread ? https://birminghamhistory.co.uk/forum/index.php?threads/what-was-this-building.40886/
Also I seem to remember some discussion about Canadian cabins, possibly in this area, but can’t now find the thread. Are these the same ones ?

Checking on Streetview they’re still there. I thought perhaps they were a temporary housing measure, but maybe, like prefabs, they far outlived the original plan.

These were part of the Austin village (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austin_Village) Not only outlived their likely life, but are now listed and have a preservation society (http://b31.org.uk/2017/09/new-project-celebrates-centenary-of-historic-austin-village/)
