Hello,

I am doing some research on the 'Harvey' family of Birmingham who were involved in sword manufacturing during the 18th century. They were presbetarians and a lot of the family records seem to have been destroyed. I am trying to establish a link between them and what appears to be another branch of the 'Harvey' family trading as sword cutlers in the 19th century. I am sure there is a link but I can't establish it. I would love to hear from anyone related to this family.

I have done quite a bit of research going through the rate books, trade directories and records in Birmingham Archive already.

Any help or advice would be appreciated....

Hi Mark

I just found your post whilst searching for 'Harvey Sword Birmingham', I know it 2 years late but wondered if you still visited this forum.

My Gt GT GT Grandfather was William Harvey and on his daughters (Ellen Harvey) Marriage Certificate of 1840 he was listed as 'Sword Cutler', I'm not sure if he was still alive at that point and I have very little information on the Harvey family, hence doing a search on Google, would would be very interested to hear from you and any information you have would be appreciated. Also if I can do anything to assist I would be more than pleased.

Regards
Paul
