Harris Family of Kingsbury Road

Beverleigh

proper brummie kid
Does anyone remember the Harris family who lived in the large house on Kingsbury Road, near to Woodend Lane on the opposite side? After Mrs. Harris died in the early 80s, the house was converted to a retirement home. Mr. Harris used to be the Head Master of the Blue Coat School and some of their land was sold to Erdington Girl's Grammar School.

Yes, they were my Grandparents. Philip Harris was also owned some electrical shops in the area. If you're still reading this (it's been a while since your post!) please do let me know your interest. Thanks!
