Hi Terry, This is my first post, I've just joined this Forum, and this may be a shot in the dark, but I need help in my search for my mysterious, great grandfather, Joseph Hands, (born Birmingham) and noticed your offer of a "George Hands" birth cert, although no idea if I am related to him. But just wondered how you are related or have you any connection to my Joseph Hands.

The problem is, I'm not sure of Joseph Hands birth, because of age differences, in census returns. He marries Caroline Manning in 1890, in Shoreditch, age 22, and was born Birmingham, father is William Hands, a jeweller. Then 1901 census, age 30, then 1911 census, age 41. I believe he may be the son of William Hands, born 1838, Birmingham and Sarah, born 1838. Have you any connection to Joseph or any advice please, I would be very grateful for any help you may have, as I've hit that wall, and want to move on, thanks for any help you may have.

Joan Hands
