Hi....my Nan died only recently aged 96/7...my Grandad's sister is still alive
E and W married in 1931...dont know her mother and fathers name...any help please

Apr/May/June quarter B,ham N, ref 6d page 964
Cert obtainable at B,ham Reg office (£7) this will give you her father.

Evelyn Hand born Jan/Feb/Mar Quarter 1913 Wolverhampton 6b page 1030
Mothers maiden name Grainger,

Evelyn R Hand born Jul/Aug/Sept Quarter 1910 Aston 6dpage 346
No mother maiden given (1911 was start of extra info,,i think ?)

There are several other Evelyn Hand,s in other areas 1910-1914
but these are the closest two to B,ham & area.

Hi John y..Big Thanks...really helpful info....if it doesnt give maiden name of mother,is it worth getting.?...(suppose father),and does it give addresses?...hope you are having the lovely weather we are in Npton
 
Her mariage certificate should give her Father's name and job. Also the address that she lived at.
When you get his name we can look for his marriage etc...

Many and big thanks...how do you do this so quickly?...do you like a REAL mystery?
My Mum (Joan)her aunt Helen( E R Hand sister) told my Mum she thought Evelyn had been sent away as a young girl (17 so 1927i sh) we think to Llandudno(we think) because she was pregnant ..shock horror in those days wasnt it......how difficult would that be to confirm?

Hi thanks for taking on the task ?....Helen was born in the late 20'..say 27.......brothers were Roland David Clifford Lenny Ivy Violet...her father was Roland Mum thinks . Mum said she doesnt know much more,she will ask her stepfather tomorrow. Thanks
 
Might have found something to work on, three of the children:ROWLAND b1913, (note spelling),.LEONARD (Lenny)b.1917,DAVID A b. 1920. All with the surname of HAND,have the Mothers maiden name of WESTWOOD.
Also found a FLORENCE E b.1917 with the same surname and mmn.


Off to search for more things......

Did you get the info off the net site?...I would send for the cert if I had the necessary references...my Mum would love that...I am seeing her next thurs and would take them down as a surprise for her...REALLY appreciate your work..BIG thanks

Might be relatives but coincidence with name maybe?...interesting though as Rowland is unusual?

Best to post your Question/Surname/Shop/Address on
the nearest Kellys book date available,,Then it will get spotted Ok
