Hand Amy

Does anyone know who this might be? I have searched in vain. She was born about 1868, and was living with my ggg grandparents David and Emma Harris in 1871, aged 3. I just wonder who she was - maybe a grandchild? Their address was 5 House Kings Norton (this was in Balsall Heath in fact). Clever people needed!

Re: Amy Hand

On the 1871 are they down as HARRIS? As this is the only place I found an Emma?

Re: Amy Hand

This is a hard one.

The Horace Powell on the 1871 age 2 is a grandchild so I would think Amy is also.
1871 Peterborough
Elizabeth Harris was living(not found marriage yet),with William M Powell in Peterborough.
William M Powell age 42 b. Tolworth Surrey. Commercial Traveller
Elizabeth age 28 b. Birmingham
Maurice Augustus age 5 B Somerset
Clement william age 10 months b. Yardley.

In 1861 William Maurice Powell is married age 32 b. Tolworth in thames Ditton.

Elizabeth had a few sisters Selina, Letitia,Martha.Harriet and Emily.
Need to find a marriage for any of them to Mr Hand.

Re: Amy Hand

Oops, sorry Mrs T, they are Harris as you say.
Alberta - yes, this is them. The Harrises have been something of a nightmare. My ggg grandfather seems to have married both a Leah and an Emma, and also had a daughter Emma. Help! I found the siblings of Elizabeth, wasn't 100% sure they were hers, but I will try to find a marriage to a Mr. Hand as you suggest!
Many thanks for replies.
Best wishes,
Jan
