This is in my memory, when I was 13 I worked Saturdays on a Bradford's bread round, I recall taking a loaf to the top floor for a blind lady, she tipped me with a penny said "It's not much but they all add up."

I was just saying here back in the 60's I travelled up and down the Hamstead Road from the ivy Bush to a job in Walsall and I never knew there was so much history to it . Looking at the pictures here , one thing I am surprised thats not here picture 3 a couple of houses before you get to the black and white building in the 70/80's there used to be a complete house front standing completely on it's own merits no sides, no scaffolding, or anything alway's amazed me how it didnt fall . I wonder if anyone else saw it ?
