I know this is an old thread- but just maybe you can help? Searching for details of Mary A Hagan (and ancestors) born 1865 (not sure if this was Birmingham or Ireland), she married Mark Joyce in Birmingham 1886. Her Mother was Margaret Hagan (not sure if this is her married name) born 1845 Roscommon- died 1893 Birmingham. Mary's Aunt was Catherine Hagan born c1841 Roscommon. Aunt Catherine is listed as living with the Joyce family from 1891- 1911.

Mary and Mark Joyce are on the 1891 census. The census says she was born in Birmingham.

Barrie

Thanks Barrie- she's listed as born Birmingham on every census- except in 1871, when she, and Mum (Margaret) are lodging with the Ivers family in Park Street, where she is listed as born Ireland Roscommon.

Elly
